I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
